The body of literature on thinking skills is abundant. It is the purpose of this special issue Participatory Educational Research (PER) to narrow the broader topic of thinking to a narrower examination of the current status of critical thinking, creative thinking, and computational thinking to identify effective methods for teaching and assessing the thinking skills of today’s students.

Call For Paper for Volume 5, Issue 2, December 2018

We would like to invite you to submit a research paper to be published in the Participatory Educational Research (PER). PER welcomes research papers, literature reviews, book reviews from the various country that have high-quality on all topics related to education to publish in this journal. Research papers must be written in English for initial review stage by editors and further review process by minimum two international reviewers.

Aims & Scope


Participatory Educational Research (PER)publishes research employing a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods and/or mixed approaches which take account of how participants can become involved in research processes in all areas of the education field amongst others inclusive education, curriculum issues and the like instructional technology, educational psychology, guidance and counseling, educational administration, science education, social science education, art education… The aim of the journal is to increase understanding of participatory research relating to learning and teaching in pre-primary, primary, secondary, higher and adult education, and to contribute to the improvement of educational processes and outcomes.


PER is an open access journal that publishes high-quality articles, in English. All articles published in PER will be peer-reviewed.


PER is published two times a year (one volume per year), in June and December.

PER is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
